As part of His campaign tour to the Bono and Ahafo regions, the National Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim paid a curtesy call on Dormaahene, Oseadieyo Nana Agyemang Badu.During the visit, the NPP National Chairman requested the support of the Dormaahene in helping to secure votes from the people of Dormaa in the upcoming general elections, scheduled for December 7, 2024. He emphasized the importance of gaining the Dormaa people’s confidence in the NPP’s leadership and plans for the future. In response, the Dormaahene, Nana Agyemang Badu, reiterated his position of neutrality when it comes to political affiliations. He explained that he does not belong to any political party and compared himself to a “freedom fighter,” always battling to secure the best outcomes for his people, irrespective of which political side is in power. His focus remains on advocating for the development and well-being of his community, putting the needs of his people above partisan considerations.
The Dormaahene also took the opportunity to speak about the cordial relationship he shares with key figures in the NPP, particularly highlighting his close ties with the vice president and the party’s presidential candidate. He expressed admiration for the way he and his colleagues have supported these leaders over the years, consistently defending their actions and policies whenever necessary.
