In line with the governing New Patriotic Party’s(NPP’s) manifesto promise to construct an Airport and Harbour in Cape Coast in their next government, the Cape Coast North constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Stephen Kojo Arhin has tasked the people of Cape Coast to welcome the two major projects with hope and faith.
Mr. Kojo Arhin who is known in politics as Wewebi charged Cape Coasters to disregard the criticism that the intended project in Cape Coast is a hoax, citing that, doubting Thomas’ will put their heads in shame”.
In an exclusive interview with MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Arhin believed NPP’s next government will transform the lives of Cape Coasters to reduce poverty in the area drastically.
According to him, when Nana Addo promised Ghanaians free Senior High School(SHS) people were criticizing and doubting it but it came to pass and has increased the population of SHS students as well as eased the burden on some parents who were hither to not able to fund their wards education.
Mr. Kojo Arhin believes the construction of an Airport in Cape Coast will boost economic activities in Cape Coast and Ghana as a whole.
He expressed displeasure that Cape Coast which used to be first capital of Ghana now wallow in poverty and hoped the construction of the Airport and Harbour would create jobs and eliminate poverty.
The NPP executive expressed disappointment over claims by people that the construction of Airport in Cape Coast is needless but rather prefer factories.
According to him, the construction of an Airport in Cape Coast can recruit hundreds of youth and generate more revenue for the government.
