The Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has presented a comprehensive plan to the Ga Traditional Council on how he intends to create opportunities for the Ga State.
The plan includes how to revive the Ga language, protect the Ga Culture and compensate the Ga State for sacrificing their land to host the national capital.
Dr Bawumia said the government holds every tribe at heart, stressing that the NPP is not as divisive as is being speculated. Dr Bawumia made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse last night.
Dr Bawumia outlined plans to give more authority to Chiefs in Ghana.
Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru, described Dr. Bawumia’s idea as a long-awaited solution for the Ga State and pledged to work with him to breathe life into the plan to implement it.
He called for peace and a social contract to protect the heritage of the Ga State.
Dr. Bawumia assured the Traditional Council of his preparedness to work extra hard to improve lives through his policies if elected as President.
