Ghana’s beloved Snapchat Queen, Dulcie Ewuraama Afriyie Boateng, known as Dulcie Boateng, continues to make headlines.

Over the weekend, the social media star and brand influencer was awarded “Social Media Influencer of the Year” at the just-ended Women’s Choice Awards Africa 2024, ending the night on a high note.

The event, which took place at Accra’s Marriott Hotel on November 1, was a significant achievement for Dulcie, who described it as a “dream come true.”

Expressing her gratitude during her acceptance speech, the Dulcie Porium CEO shared, “Do you know, a few years ago, women weren’t really doing a lot of things. Women weren’t business owners.

Women were just women. Now in recent years, women are taking over. Women are like boss babes, and it makes me so proud because now girls have their own money. Girls can do their own thing, and girls are making waves.”

“And it’s really all thanks to social media. I’m not even going to lie; it opened our eyes to so many things, and those of us who managed to take advantage of it, we are reaping where we’ve sown. So, I want to say a big thank you to all those who made this possible. My Snappers who voted for me – I literally posted this a week ago. My mom, my family, and to my friends.”

“Guys I don’t know where I’ll be without my friends, they are so supportive. I literally told them about this thing, and everyone got an outfit and came here with me even though we’ve come to close the ceremony, we still came, and that’s what’s important. I love you guys so much. To everyone who made me look like this, you guys know yourselves, thank you so much. And, women, please, keep doing you. You guys are doing amazing, and so am I.”

Best known for her trendsetting content and prominence as a brand influencer and social media personality, Dulcie Boateng continues to maintain her title as “Snapchat Queen.” As the CEO of Dulcie Porium, she is a business powerhouse, attracting thousands with her initiatives and presence.

This year, she shut down Accra on multiple occasions, notably at events like Porials Pitch and Garage’s Lounge and Bar’s “All Black – The Continuum.”

The Women’s Choice Awards consist of two distinct phases: the Marketing Choice Phase and the Industrial Choice Phase.

While the Marketing Choice enables women to use their purchasing power to make the ultimate choice for their favourite brands made for women, the Industrial Choice is designed to empower African women through resources, advocacy, and community support.

The goal is to enhance their lives, health, and well-being, focusing on the personalities and institutions that advocate for women.
