East Legon Accident – All White Candlelight Vigil To Honor Two Girls Lost In Tragic Crash

A candlelight vigil is set to be held in honor of Maame Dwomoh Boateng and Justine Agbenu, the two young women who tragically lost their lives in the horrific East Legon accident on Saturday, October 12, 2024. The vigil, titled “All White Candlelight Vigil,” will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 5:00 PM, at the site of the accident. Loved ones and the community are invited to come together in their memory.

They were the unfortunate victims of a fatal car crash in East Legon, Accra, when Elrod Salifu Amoako, son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, crashed his Jaguar 4×4 into the Acura they were traveling in which caught fire and led to their tragic death.

According to reports, Elrod Salifu Amoako lost control of his vehicle before colliding with the Acura, instantly claiming the lives of Maame Dwomoh Boateng and Justine Agbenu. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene, leaving family, friends, and the community devastated by the loss of such promising young lives.

A flyer for the vigil, circulating on social media, features images of Maame Dwomoh Boateng and Justine Agbenu, along with a message inviting the public to attend in remembrance of the two. Attendees are encouraged to wear all white.

Since the accident, many Ghanaians have expressed their sorrow and frustration online, calling for justice for Maame and Justine.
