Winston Yeboah Danso, Founder and CEO of East Legon Football Academy, has made a generous donation of GH10,000 to support the Fafali girls’ football team ahead of their participation in the Street Child World Cup in Mexico.The contribution officially launches the Fafali Mexico Club 1000 Campaign, an initiative aimed at raising funds for the team’s journey to the global tournament, scheduled from May 4 to May 15.Half of the amount, GH5,000, was donated on behalf of East Legon Football Academy, with the remaining GH5,000 coming personally from Danso. The donation is intended to kickstart broader fundraising efforts to cover travel, accommodation, training, and other logistical expenses.The campaign seeks to rally 1,000 individuals and organisations to contribute GH500 each, ensuring the team can represent Ghana at the international event.The Street Child World Cup brings together young people from underserved communities worldwide, combining football with advocacy, leadership training, and discussions on children’s rights. For the Fafali girls, the tournament offers a platform to showcase their talent on a global stage while inspiring others in their communities.Organisers are calling on corporate bodies, philanthropists, and the general public to support the initiative and help the team achieve its dream.
