Ghanaian rapper and record producer EL has officially signed with Sony Music Publishing West Africa, the company announced via Instagram.
The move marks a significant milestone in EL’s career and positions him for greater international exposure.
Sony Music Publishing described EL as a “multi-talented Ghanaian musician” whose influence spans both local and international entertainment. The label highlighted his achievements, including winning Artist of the Year at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and earning nominations from platforms such as the MTV Africa Music Awards.

“Akwaaba, welcome to Sony Music Publishing!” the label wrote in its statement.
With this partnership, EL joins a growing list of African artists, including Sarkodie, Wizkid, Tems, and Lojay, who have secured global publishing deals, further expanding African music’s presence on the international stage.
