Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Gertrude Torkornoo, says the Election Management Committee has put in place measures to expeditiously address parliamentary election disputes promptly within the stipulated time frame.
She added that in the coming weeks, the Committee, chaired by a retired Supreme Court Judge, Baffour Bonnie, will launch a three-volume compendium to guide stakeholders in election dispute resolution.
Speaking at the Annual Ghana Bar Association Conference in Kumasi, she emphasised the critical role the judiciary has always played in the election process and affirmed its commitment to continue this role.
The Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, said the digitalisation agenda of the judiciary has actively started with electronic transmission of appeal records to expedite delivery nationwide, reduce the cost of multiple records production, and make corrections much easier.
The CJ said a paperless records delivery of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal registry process nationwide has commenced.
She expressed optimism that, come next year, the process would have reached completion.
