Electricity Expansion

Work has officially commenced on a significant electricity expansion project in Ghana’s Damongo constituency.

The project will bring much-needed power to several previously unconnected areas.

The project will extend electricity to Azurekura 1, Azurekura 2, Attributo, Hangaline, Cathedral Residential Area Annex, and Jebee.

The initiative, set to be completed by December, aims to integrate these regions into the national grid, enhancing development and improving living conditions for residents.

The project includes installing electricity and meters at no cost to the households.

This effort complements ongoing efforts by Damongo Member of Parliament Samuel Abu Jinapor, who has already facilitated the extension of electricity to approximately 1,000 households.

The commencement of the project is a significant milestone for the Damongo constituency. Vehicles loaded with construction materials and equipment have started arriving at the designated areas, marking the beginning of a transformative journey.

MP Samuel Abu Jinapor emphasized that the expansion project is part of a broader goal to elevate the quality of life for residents. He noted that access to electricity will enable students to study at night and allow parents to conduct business after dark.

“This project is a vital step toward improving the socio-economic conditions in our constituency. By enhancing access to electricity, we are not just providing power, but significantly boosting the daily lives of our residents,” Jinapor said, underlining the profound impact on the quality of life.

The MP reiterated his unwavering commitment to furthering development in Damongo and continuing to bring transformative projects to the constituency.
