The EMY Africa Awards has officially opened nominations for its 10th edition.
The announcement was made by CEO Kojo Soboh during a special event marking the brand’s 10th anniversary at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Thursday.
The celebration brought together notable figures, including Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong; Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs; media personality K.O.D.; Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, and actor James Gardiner, among others. The event highlighted a decade of recognising excellence, leadership, and cultural pride across Africa.
Since its launch in 2016, EMY Africa has grown from an awards show into a powerful brand with continent-wide influence.
“Through our prestigious awards, magazine, forums, and expos, we have recognised outstanding individuals and inspired countless people,” said Kojo Soboh.
He encouraged the public to submit nominations, saying:
“We invite our audience, partners, and community to help us identify and spotlight exceptional men and women shaping Africa’s future through vision, impact, and leadership.”
As part of the 10th anniversary, EMY Africa also revealed a packed lineup of celebratory events. These include:
The Greatness Walk
