The Founder and Leader of Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Ing. Kwadwo Safo, has urged the running mate for the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, to consider peace building as a priority and ensure that there is a constant consensus building within the party in order to secure victory for the NPP.

According to the leader of the Christ Reformed Church, popularly known as Kristo Asafo Mission, the presence of unity and cohesion in the party will help in entrenching the party’s support base thereby winning the elections with ease.

Apostle Safo pointed out that, it is obvious for some members of the party may feel hurt and disappointed, therefore, it is expedient for the running mate to make sure that, all aggrieved party members are visited and spoken to in order to restore their lost faith.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was given this piece of advice and encouragement when he paid a courtesy call on Apostle Safo at Gomoa Mpota in the Central region, on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Apostle Safo highlighted the essence of ensuring an internal cohesion and peaceful coexistence among party members, thereby admonishing the immediate past Manhyia South Member of Parliament, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, to show example in his leadership so as to foster the spirit of reconciliation among party members who are peeved.

“As we approach the elections, it is imperative that you and Dr. Bawumia strengthen the foundations of your party with peace and unity.”

Dr. Prempeh expressed gratitude to Apostle Kwadwo Safo for his counsel and assured him of coming to his home for further private discussions and directions before embarking on his political campaign across the country.

Dr. Prempeh was thronged by high profiled representatives from the Central region as well as cabinet, including the regional minister, Marygold Assan; Deputy Minister for Local Government and Decentralization and Member of Parliament for Tafo, Vincent Ekow Essafuah; MP for Dome-Kwabenya and daughter of Apostle Safo, Sarah Adwoa Safo; Deputy Minister for the Interior, Naana Eyiah and the Central Regional executives of the party.

The running mate is expected to embark on a campaign tour in order to complement the regional campaign of the flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
