
Otto AddoGhana head coach Otto Addo has stressed the importance of facing Austria and Germany in the March international break.The coach and his team officially commenced preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup this month, playing the two friendly matches in the last five days.The Black Stars lost 5-1 to Austria last Friday before succumbing to a 2-1 defeat to Germany on Monday night.Speaking in his post-match interview after the Germany game, Otto Addo explained that facing the two European national teams and testing the strength of his side against such quality was very important.He believes the Black Stars improved over the course of the two matches, but must continue working during the next international break to improve further.”We improved a lot if we compare this game to the game against Austria. We learnt a lot, and for us, its always good to get these kinds of experiences. Even though we lost, we are taking everything with usthe boys are taking everything with us. For us, it was very, very good to face this kind of quality, Otto Addo said.Although the Black Stars last four matches have all ended in defeats, coach Otto Addo insists he is the man for the job and is optimistic the national team will be ready before the start of the World Cup.
