Mzbel has confirmed her appearance before the court in connection with an ongoing defamation case involving Prophet Fire Oja, following statements allegedly made about her on social media.
In a statement shared on Friday 30 January 2025, Mzbel disclosed that the court proceedings went smoothly.
Mzbel shared via his WhatsApp platform: “Today, I appeared before the court regarding a defamation matter arising from statements made about me on social media. The proceedings went smoothly, and the accused, Fire Oja, was granted bail of GHS 50,000 with two sureties.”
According to the musician the matter is now properly before the court and she has expressed full confidence in the judicial process.
She explained that the decision to pursue legal action was taken to protect her name reputation and professional work.
Mzbel further stated that, out of respect for the court, she will not make any additional comments regarding the substance of the case at this time. She also appealed to the media and the general public to allow due process to take its course as the case continues.
The court is expected to determine the next date for hearing as proceedings progress.
