The newly formed Five Star FC made a statement on Saturday by beating a well structured Accra Rockets Academy by 3-0 at the Zaytun Park in Kasoa.

The match which began on a higher tempo saw equal exchanges from both teams with FIve Star FC a little ahead with their composure upfront,midfield and in defence.

The two coaches brought their experience to bare but FIve Star Fc technical team exhibiting more supremacy saw attacker Steven Abbii Boateng chanting on an opportunity in the 20th minute with an excellent cross from Papa Arko but was wrongly placed to the surprise of the fans .

Five star FC not relenting initiated another attack from the middle through Joe Aidoo the play maker who dazzled three players and gave a through pass to Steven Abbi Boateng but was brought down by laryea Quaye in the penalty box for the first penalty to be awarded in the 28th minute. Boateng the victim nominated himself to convert and opened the first goal of the afternoon.

The game went on recess with 1-0 in favour of FSFC.

FSFC came back from the second half with more aggression and determination and different game plan deployed by coach Razak Lomotey and his technical team created chances upon chances but were all fruitless till Accra Rockets got two opportunities but was well saved by FSFC goalkeeper for the scoreline to still stay 1-0.

A second penalty was awarded in the 75th minute when referee Agyin awarded the second penalty when Boateng was brought do6 cynically in the box after captain of FSFC Kojo Alhassan give a tailored pass to boateng.Once Boateng nominated himself to convert the penalty and scored to.make it 2-0.

Quickly both team decided to make some substitutions with FSFC changing their laterals but hard a toll on them but experience defender Aikins for FSFC master minded the defence to prevent any goal. In the dying embers of the game Togolese import Alarji was brought on to the surprise of the management team because he was believed to be the third striker of FSFC but came with just a minute to end proceedings he scored to make the final scoreline 3-0 in favour of FIve Star Football Club. Come Thursday 24th September,2020 FSFC will pitch their strength against Alhaji Franco’s Zaytun Football Academy at 9am
