Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Joseph Kobina Ade Coker, widely known as Ade Coker, has died.

While the official cause of death has not been disclosed, reports suggest he passed away at the Bank Hospital following a brief illness.

Ade Coker was known for his bold commentary on governance and political matters, earning him significant respect and admiration, especially among the party’s grassroots supporters.

He was first elected as the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Chairman in 2009 and went on to serve three consecutive terms until he was unseated in 2022 by Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore.

In addition to his political career, Ade Coker also held the position of Vice Chairman at the Ghana Football Association.
