The Club Licensing Department of the Ghana Football Association has organised a one-day workshop on the Club Licensing Online Platform(CLOP) for the newly promoted Access Bank Division One League Clubs.

The workshop took place at the Headquarters of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Wednesday July 10, 2024.

The workshop is part of the GFA’s commitment to keep the newly promoted clubs at the cutting edge of the digital space and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills for effective Club Licensing engagements.

Organised specifically for the newly promoted Division One League Clubs, it was attended by the Club Licensing Managers of six (6) clubs including Dormaa Unity FC, Port City, True Democracy FC, Walewale Catholic Stars, Wa Sore Nante FC, Inter Allies and Galaxy FC, who were taken through the new regulations and a practical session in the application process.

The event was facilitated by the GFA’S Club Licensing Manager Esme Mends and CLOP instructor, Francis Adu.

“This program is a testament to our commitment to elevating the standards of football in Ghana. By ensuring that clubs meet the licensing requirements, we are fostering a professional environment that benefits players, fans, and the broader football community.” GFA Club Licensing Manager, Esme Mends told ghanafa.org

It will be recalled that the Ghana Football Association, in conjunction with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), organised a similar workshop for Premier League, Women’s Premier League and Division One League clubs last month.

The workshop was held to train users for the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), present the CAF Club Licensing regulatory framework (2022 edition) for men and women as well as to discuss the mandatory criteria for domestic and continental competitions.
