Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi is on the verge of joining Royal Antwerp FC from Club Brugge when his contract expires at the end of this month in a deal that is said to be in its advanced stages.
The player and the club have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms.
Once the transfer is finalized, Odoi will don the number 6 jersey at Royal Antwerp. However, there are still a few loose ends that need to be tied up and discussions are expected to take place within the week to settle these last details.
Following his imminent move, Odoi is scheduled to undergo medical tests with Royal Antwerp in the coming week.
While he didn’t feature prominently for Club Brugge in the recently concluded season, he played a crucial role towards the end.
In fact, Odoi scored the winning goal in the penultimate game against Anderlecht, securing the Belgium Pro League title for his team.
Throughout the season, Odoi made 24 appearances in the league, with only ten of those as a starter.
Despite limited playing time, he managed to find the back of the net twice, showcasing his ability to make an impact when given the opportunity.
