MILTON KEYNES, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 07: Albert Adomah of WalsallGhanaian forward Albert Adomah chalked a new milestone in his career after making his 700th English Football League appearance. The winger celebrated the new achievement on his 38th birthday after appearing for Walsall in their game against Shrewsbury in the English League Two.In his long career in England’s lower leagues, Adomah has made 526 appearances in the Championship and 174 in League Two.The former Black Stars forward has scored 95 goals and delivered 101 assists across those games.Although, he reached 700 career appearances in September 2024, he marked that feat in only EFL matches on Saturday in the 1-1 draw against Shrewsbury.”That’s another milestone. 700 EFL games, I am assuming that’s just league games. That is amazing and it happens to be on my birthday, that’s a nice touch and that’s another milestone to celebrate,” he said after the game.

An unbelievable milestone reached by Albert Adomah this weekend. pic.twitter.com/i0rlqEFSnv PFA (@PFA) December 15, 2025The 38-year-old has represented several clubs across the two divisions of English football, including Middlesborough and Aston Villa.Meanwhile, his manager at Walsall, Mat Sadler hailed the veteran forward for his role at the club.Happy birthday to him, hes the youngest 38-year-old I know, he said.Hes an amazing person and he had that chance where he flashed it across to Courtney. Thats the moments that were in the game, we just didnt quite have that cutting edge at the final moment and sometimes that is understandable with the amount of games weve had recently. For now, we have to rest up, look after the lads for a few days and then go again in what has the makings of a very good game this Saturday now.
