Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo provides assist in Bournemouth’ stalemate against Newcastle United

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo played a pivotal role to help Bournemouth secure a point on home turf against Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Black Stars forward lasted the entire duration as his outfit played out a 1-1 draw in the week of the English Premier League.

Semenyo starred for Bournemouth, providing an assist to help his side secure a draw against the Magpies at the Vitality Stadium.

The former Bristol City attacker set up Marcus Tavernier to open the scoring for the Cherries, in the thrilling clash.  The host went to the halftime break with the advantage.

Bournemouth were unable to hold onto their one goal lead as Newcastle United leveled the pegging in the 77th minute through Anthony Gordon.

And with no additional goal, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Semenyo has been outstanding after two games into the season, scoring an providing an assist.

He opened his goal-scoring account last weekend after scoring late to earn Bournemouth a draw at Nottingham Forest.

Semenyo will be expected to fill in the void left by Dominic Solanke, who left this summer to join Tottenham Hotspurs despite the arrival of Evanilson from FC Porto.

Last season, Semenyo netted eight time in the English Premier League.
