Ghana international Patrick Twumasi has won his first silverware with South Korean outfit Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors after winning the revived K League Super Cup.Twumasi watched from the bench as his outfit secured a commanding 2-0 victory over Daejeon Hana Citizen to lift the title at Jeonju World Cup Stadium.Goals from Motta and Tiago proved decisive, with Jeonbuk asserting their dominance to comfortably see off their opponents and secure the prestigious curtain-raiser. The victory underlines the clubs intent ahead of the new domestic campaign.The Super Cup made a long-awaited return after a 20-year hiatus, with Jeonbuk qualifying as double champions, while Daejeon featured as league runners-up. The competition had remained dormant since 2007, making this years edition a historic revival for Korean football.With the Super Cup back on the calendar and a fresh K League season now underway, expectations are high for an exciting yearone in which Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors have already laid down an early marker.Twumasi joined Jeonbuk last summer following the expiration of his contract with Cypriot side Pafos FC, bringing experience from spells across Europe and Asia.On the international front, the former Hannover 96 attacker has earned three caps for Ghanas senior national team since making his debut in 2017.
