The Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) has received a generous donation of GHC 20,000 from the Ghana National Gas Limited Company to support staff members battling breast cancer.

The donation was presented by the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas, Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay. She explained that the support is part of the Mahama Care Initiative, and it is meant to help healthcare workers at the hospital who are affected by breast cancer.

Ms. Blay stressed the importance of early detection of breast cancer and the need to support health facilities that care for people. She praised Ridge Hospital for the great work they are doing to improve healthcare and encouraged women to take their health seriously and support each other.

Dr. Adam-Zakariah, the Acting Medical Director of Ridge Hospital, thanked Ghana Gas for the kind gesture. He said the money would be used for its intended purpose, to support staff and boost breast cancer awareness activities at the hospital.

He also said this donation would help strengthen the hospital’s efforts to support staff and raise more awareness about the disease.

The hospital expressed its gratitude and looks forward to more partnerships that support healthcare delivery in Ghana.
