The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has confirmed that Ghana is in talks with Wales over a potential international friendly ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars will compete at the global showpiece, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Head coach Otto Addo has already lined up preparatory matches against Austria on March 27 at the Ernst Happel Stadium, before taking on Germany in Stuttgart on March 30. A further friendly against Mexico is scheduled for May, with the Ghana Football Association yet to confirm details.
Drawn in Group L, Ghana will face Panama, England, and Croatia. The four-time African champions open against Panama on June 17, meet England on June 23, and conclude their group campaign versus Croatia on June 27, aiming to surpass recent group-stage exits.
