Ghana launches project to combat misinformation | GBC Ghana Online – The Nation’s Broadcaster

In a bid to combat misinformation in the country, the Information Services Department has launched a website: www.ghanatoday.gov.gh.

The website will provide direct information from ministries, departments, and agencies about the works of government.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah said with media pluralism and the emergence of social media, there is a need for government agencies to provide facts about activities of government to reduce the level of misrepresentation and sometimes outright misinformation online.
