Ghanaian defender Jamal Deen Haruna scored a spectacular goal as Raufoss secured a commanding 4-1 win over Egersund in the Norwegian 1. Divisjon on Monday afternoon.
The match at NAMMO stadion saw Raufoss dominate with incisive attacks despite Egersund’s superior possession.
Oliver Rotihaug opened the scoring within two minutes, capitalizing on a cross from the left to put Raufoss ahead. Jakob Nyland Ørsahl doubled the lead thirty minutes in, converting a precise cross from Victor Fors.
Haruna’s moment of brilliance came midway through the second half when he unleashed an unstoppable shot from 16 meters out, leaving the goalkeeper helpless. Erlend Hustad added a fourth goal for Raufoss with just over a quarter of an hour remaining.
Egersund managed a consolation goal through Magnus Lankhof-Dahlby from a corner kick late in the game, but it was too little too late.
