Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe delivered a top-class performance to help IF Elfsborg to secure an away stalemate against Mjällby in the Swedish top-flight.
The former Black Meteors marksman lasted the entire duration as his outfit held their opponent to a 1-1 draw at the Strandvallen on Sunday afternoon.
Yegbe found the back of the net for the visitors after just sixteen minutes into the thrilling encounter but Mjällby responded with an equalizer through Herman Johansson in the 26th minute mark. Both teams went to the halftime break with a goal apiece.
And with no additional goal in the much-anticipated clash, both teams had to settle for a draw in the round 19 clash.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian defender has established himself as a key member for Elfsborg since joining the club in February 2024.
He has racked up three goals so far in the Swedish Allsvenskan and will be hoping to maintain his form throughout the season.
Yegbe’s current contract with Elfsborg is expected to expire in the summer of 2028.
Meanwhile, his compatriots, Michael Baidoo and Jalal Abdulai featured for Elsborg as they held Mjällby to a stalemate.
