Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko look set to snatch defender Caleb Amankwah from big rivals Aduana Stars, according to reports in the local press.
The 22-year-old has made big impressions during his spells at WAFA and Aduana Stars and, has been linked to several clubs including Kotoko and AshantiGold.
However with Kotoko looking to shape up their squad ahead of their proposed campaign in the CAF Champions League next season they are keen to beef up their squad with the acquisition of the defender.
Amankwah has entered the ‘bossman’ period of his contract and has told the Fire Boys he won’t sign a new deal.
According to Ghana Sports Online checks the Black Stars B player has already packed bags and baggages and has headed out of Dormaa Ahenkro.
This has spelt a decisive end to his spell at Aduana and opened the gate to Kotoko.
Meanwhile Kotoko’s CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah is awaiting the green light from the club’s board of directors to commence transfer activities.
