Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim found the back of the net as AS Trencin battled to a 1-1 draw with Zemplin Michalovce in a hard-fought encounter at the Zemplin Stadium.
Rahim Ibrahim, who started the match and played 69 minutes, equalized in the 53rd minute with a powerful header after AS Trencin had gone behind early in the game. His compatriot, Bright Donkor, also featured in the game.
The match began with both teams battling difficult conditions, but the action remained intense. Zemplin Michalovce took the lead in the 15th minute when Kyziridis capitalized on a defensive error to score.
AS Trencin, however, responded with more attacking play, forcing several saves from goalkeeper Patrik Lukáč. Rahim Ibrahim’s equalizer came as the team continued to push forward, but neither side could break the deadlock as both defenses held firm.
AS Trencin will face DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda in their next match on September 17.
