A Ghanaian nurse who recently relocated to Canada is expected to be repatriated to Ghana following reports of mental health challenges.

The case, which has drawn public attention on social media, involves Faustina Opoku, a former nurse at Tafo Government Hospital in Kumasi.

The situation was highlighted by a Canada-based content creator known as @maamepokuahkumasi, who shared details of the nurse’s condition and the urgent need to reconnect her with her family back home.

According to the content creator, efforts to trace Faustina Opoku’s relatives have been successful, paving the way for arrangements to be made for her safe return to Ghana.

Speaking on the matter, she disclosed that plans are currently underway to ensure the nurse is accompanied on her journey back home.

“The plan is either to identify a traveller heading to Ghana who can accompany her, or I will personally travel with her,” she said.

The goal, she explained, is to ensure Faustina receives the necessary care, support, and supervision upon her return.

The content creator also expressed gratitude to individuals who contributed to the process, particularly Serwaa Broni, who played a role in helping reconnect the nurse with her family.
