
Ghanaian teen sensation, Daniel Nunoo, scored his first goal for Austrian giants Rapid Wien to inspire them to victory against Wolfsberger AC in the Bundesliga.The 19-year-old climbed off the bench to seal victory for the Green and Whites after rolling the ball home in injury time.Nunoo replaced Nikolaus Wurmbrand on the hour mark, and instantly became a threat on the flanks, switching sides with his pace and trickery.Ten minutes after coming on, Rapid Wien opened the scoring through fellow second half substitute Matthias Seidl.Seidl went from scorer to provider as he served the former Accra Shooting Stars forward with a perfect cross in the 92nd minute to secure an important win.The victory lifted Rapid to sixth on the table and four points behind leaders Red Bull Salzburg.Nunoo has now made 11 league appearances for Rapid Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring his first senior goal on Saturday, February 21.He joined the Austrian outfit’s reserve side in 2024, and has since risen to the first team, making him an important figure for Johannes Hoff Thorup’s squad.
