
Ghanaian forward Joseph Opoku has shared his excitement after scoring to power Swansea City to a 2-1 victory over Stoke City in their opening match of the 2026/27 Championship season.The 20-year-old attacker signed for the English club from Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem this summer.On Saturday, he starred with a good performance and scored an important goal as his new club bagged all three points to begin the new season on a positive note.Speaking in a post-match interview, Opoku admitted that he enjoyed the win.Im really happy with the win, and Im happy for the team too, the Ghanaian youngster told Swansea City media.He continued, It was a great feeling. The manager always tells me to always arrive late into the box, and when that moment came, I just didnt think twice.I really enjoyed it, and I hope for more moments like that.After his strong start to the new season, Opoku will be hoping for more goals and assists in the course of the season to help Swansea City achieve their goals at the end of the campaign.
