Although the content has been deleted, his followers downloaded it and are now circulating it on various social media platforms.
Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to demand swift action from law enforcement authorities.
Several netizens have tagged the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Yohonu to enact the immediate arrest of the content creator.
Critics have argued that the woman involved has been publicly disgraced as a result of the video’s circulation.
Under Ghanaian law, the non-consensual sharing of nude, intimate, or sexually explicit material is a criminal offence. Legal experts and commentators online have referenced the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, which guarantees the right to privacy and dignity.
Additionally, the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), specifically criminalises the distribution of intimate images without the consent of the person involved. Offenders may face fines, imprisonment, or both if found guilty.
