The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Abeiku Santana, has commended Nigerian artiste and entrepreneur Mr Eazi for his pledge to invest $2 million in the development of a 3,000-capacity event centre in Accra, complete with both indoor and outdoor facilities.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Abeiku Santana welcomed the proposed investment and revealed that initial engagements had already begun.

He described Mr Eazi as a brother and expressed appreciation for the initiative, hinting at further developments in the near future.

Mr Eazi made the announcement during his performance at the Detty Rave concert in Accra on December 28, 2025, where he called on the Ghana Tourism Authority to allocate land for the project.

He emphasised the importance of purpose-built venues in strengthening Ghana’s events ecosystem and supporting the growth of the entertainment industry.

The massive patronage recorded at the Detty Rave festival underscored the increasing demand for well-structured event venues in Accra, further reinforcing calls for greater investment in entertainment infrastructure across the country.
