Former Champions Faith Ladies and Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies have secured their spots in the semi-final of the on-going Women’s Premier League Super Cup after posting victories over Police Ladies and Northern Ladies respectively. They are joined by Dreamz Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the last four of the off season tournament.

Faith Ladies humble Supreme Ladies
Former champions Faith Ladies annihilated Supreme Ladies 7:0 to clinch a spot in the semifinal of the tournament thanks to goals Gladys Amfobea, Matilda Damoah, Vuvor Julian and Alamisi Atampaka. Amfobea netted a haul (4 goals), while Matilda Damoah added to the tally in the 61st minute. Faith Ladies kept the pressure on Supreme Ladies to score two more goals in the 65th and 76th minutes through Vuvor Julian and Alamisi Atampaka. The win puts Faith Ladies through to the Semifinal while Supreme Ladies are eliminated from the competition due to three consecutive losses in the stage.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies secure thrilling comeback win over Police Ladies
Mary Amponsah’s hat-trick secured a thrilling comeback victory for Ampem Darkoa Ladies against Police Ladies in another keenly contested encounter. Sophia Agyaakwaa opened the scoring for Police Ladies in the 16th minute but Mary Amponsah netted in the 63rd minute to level matters. The lanky attacker doubled the lead for Ampem Darkoa Ladies with a beautiful strike in the 90th minute. Soon after Mawusi Gbenyo restored parity for the service ladies but Mary Amponsah snatched the win for the Nanamma in the 93rd minute to put them top of the table with three wins from three matches while Police Ladies miss out on the last four ticket.
Dreamz Ladies ease past Berry Ladies to make semifinal
Dreamz Ladies have secured a spot in the semifinals of the Women’s Premier Super Cup after a decisive 4-0 win over Berry Ladies. The match, held at the Ghanaman Soccer Center for Excellence, saw Sarah Nyarko score the opening goal in the 19th minute, followed by Mary Sarpomaa’s goal in the 30th minute. Yaa Abrafi added to the tally just before halftime, scoring in the 41st minute. Captain Stella Nyamekye sealed the deal with a goal in the 88th minute. This victory comes after a remarkable comeback in their previous match, where Dreamz Ladies defeated Police Ladies 5-1, with Yaa Abrafi and Stella Nyamekye each scoring twice. The team’s impressive performance in Group B has earned them a well-deserved spot in the semifinal.
Hasaacas Ladies pip Northern Ladies to sail through
Hasaacas Ladies secured a thrilling 1-0 victory over Northern Ladies, thanks to Sylvia Osei’s 74th-minute strike, marking their third consecutive win in the competition. This win was crucial as Northern Ladies were eager to secure a semifinal spot, but unfortunately, it slipped through their fingers. It’s worth noting that Hasaacas Ladies have been on a roll, previously defeating Supreme Ladies 6-0 and Faith Ladies 1-0 in the Women’s Premier League Super Cup. Meanwhile, Northern Ladies had a convincing 3-0 win over Supreme Ladies earlier in the competition
The semi-final of the competition will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Ghanaman Soccer Center for Excellence in Prampram.
