Division one side Golden Kick FC recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Accra Hearts of Oak in a pre-season friendly played at the Kpobiman Training Complex.

The ‘Phobians’ dominated large spells of the match and created several scoring opportunities but were unable to convert their chances in front of goal.

Golden Kick were dealt a major setback before the break after being reduced to ten men their player went recklessly on Hussein Adam but remained resilient and continued to defend strongly against the Phobians’ attacking pressure.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, the Division One side kept pushing forward whenever opportunities came their way.

Their persistence paid off late in the match when they grabbed the decisive goal three minutes from full-time to stun Hearts of Oak.

The friendly served as part of preparations for both sides as they continue to build fitness and fine-tune tactics ahead of upcoming competitions.
