Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has called for attitudinal change among the players ahead of the three remaining Ghana Premier League games.
The Ghanaian giants has been in dismal form this season and are now staring at relegation with three games to end the campaign. At the moment, the Phobians are only two points ahead of the drop zone.
Their poor form was compounded by a 2-0 defeat against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, leaving Hearts of Oak in a precarious position.
The Phobians must win their remaining games against Nations FC, city rivals Great Olympics, and Bechem United to stay up.
Speaking in an interview, Ouattara expressed his outfit must secure maximum points in the remaining games to survive and has therefore advocated for attitudinal change among the players.
“We are going to try. I cannot make magic to create another players so I have to do everything possible to get the best out of players available. We are in a bad situation, we’ve lost some matches and not well placed on the table”
“We don’t have a choice but the only choice we have is to pick maximum points in the remaining games. To pick points, we have to change our attitude. The focus is on the three remaining matches, we need to have maximum points to survive” he said.
Hearts of Oak are 15th on the league standings with 38 points after 31 matches into the campaign. They will welcome Nations FC to the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday in matchday 32 of the league season.
