Herbert MensahFormer Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Herbert Mensah, beleives it is not the job of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the life patron of the club, to invest in the club.His remark comes after the playing body, the IMC, and the technical team presented the FA Cup trophy to the Asantehene on Wednesday at the Manhyia Palace.Speaking on behalf of Otumfuo, Mr Mensah, who now serves as the President of World Rugbys African Association, said,You must get back up, be at the World Club Championship, and bring the glory back.”Otumfuo has invested; it is not Otumfuos job to invest in Kotoko.”It is Kotoko that you achieve, and those who hold it must invest. It is an honour, it is a privilege to hold Kumasi Asante Kotoko,” he added.Herbert Mensah served as Kotoko Chairmanfrom 1999 to 2003 and is widely regarded as one of the best leaders of the Porcupine Warriors.Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will represent the country in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup following their FA Cup triumph.
