Newly sworn in President, John Mahama, has identified four key areas that he intends to focus on in order to achieve his reset Ghana agenda.
Topmost on the agenda is economic recovery.
President Mahama outlined this vision after he was sworn in as the sixth president of the Fourth Republic on January 7, 2025.
The areas are:
- Economic restoration and stabilisation
- Improvement of the business and investment environment
- Governance and constitutional reforms
- Accountability and the fight against corruption
He assured businesses and investors that Ghana is open for business again, promising a more transparent and fair tax regime to stimulate growth.
“We will rationalise our tax systems to make them fair and transparent. The business community must know that Ghana is open for business again,” he declared.
He added, “Join me in shaping a new business environment.”
President Mahama promised the Ghanaian youth that “we will create decent and well-paying jobs.”
