The current Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, and the minister of state for Procurement widely known as Hon. Adwoa Safo, together with Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah, MCE for Ga East, Mr Robert Osei Bonsu, Constituency Chairman and Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obeng Cudjoe, Parochial Administrator of the St. Dominic Catholic Church, cut sod for the Construction of 2No. 3-Unit Nursery Block and 6-Unit Classroom Block at the St. Dominic Roman Catholic School-Taifa.
These two projects were being undertaken by Messrs Empire CD Limited and Messrs A-3 Company Limited respectively and are to be completed within five (5) calendar months.
The two classroom blocks form part of completed and ongoing school infrastructure within the Constituency. Completed school projects include but not limited to, 3-Unit Classroom Block with ancillary facilities at Atomic Hills, 6-Unit Classroom Block with ancillary facilities at Abokobi Presby School and Taifa Community School, and 2-Unit Nursery Blocks at Atomic M/A School and Old Ashongman School.
A 12-Unit Classroom Block at Kwabenya SHS, 6-Unit Classroom Block at Dome Cluster of Schools and 2-Unit Nursery Block at Kwabenya MA Basic School are ongoing projects which are expected to be completed soon.
As Hon. Adwoa Safo ample demonstration of her firm belief in Education, and collective responsibility in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 10 (ie.Quality Education and Reduce Inequality) , the implementation of the Free Senior High School, has really informed the Best WASSCE Student of the Kwabenya SHS(only public SHS in the Constituency) a full schorlarship to study in any University abroad and the next best Four WASSCE Students, a full schorlarship to any University in Ghana.
As promised by the minister, Five schorlarships will be given to the best WASSCE students of the Kwabenya Senior High School annually. These Schorlarships will be administered by the Adwoa Safo Foundation, which will be launched soon.
