Award-winning Ghanaian blogger and vlogger, Rashad, has weighed in on Hon. Asenso Boakye’s controversial comments about President John Mahama trying to shortchange the good people of the Ashanti Region.

Recall that a few days ago, the former Roads and Highways Minister accused the government of attempting to scale down the Suame Interchange project in Kumasi, a move he says would shortchange residents and fail to address the city’s growing traffic congestion.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen programme, Mr Asenso-Boakye stated that the original design of the interchange was a four-tier structure intended to provide a long-term solution to Kumasi’s severe traffic challenges.

According to him, the current government is planning to reduce the scope of the project to a two-tier interchange, citing a lack of funds.

He argued that such a revision would significantly undermine the project’s capacity to effectively manage traffic flow in the rapidly expanding Ashanti Regional capital.

“The original design was meant to comprehensively address congestion in Kumasi,” he indicated, adding that scaling it down would not adequately resolve the persistent traffic difficulties faced by commuters and businesses in the area.

Reacting to the whole brouhaha, Rashad has voiced out his disappointment in Asenso Boakye over his unfair criticisms of President John Mahama.

According to Rashad, the NPP should bow their heads in shame because, despite Nana Addo promising the Ashanti Region 5 interchanges, he wasn’t able to fully complete just one.

Rashad continued his unbiased rant by referencing what Mr Gabby Otchere-Darko said some months ago, suggesting that Members of Parliament from the Ashanti Region opted for community roads instead of flyovers, and that this decision accounts for the current state of infrastructure in the region.

As advised by Rashad, the NPP is doomed for collapse as predicted by President Kuffour is they keep on with these blame games.

Rashad ended his rants by applauding the NDC government and insisting that if the available funds can complete just a single project, the government should go ahead and do it.

The social media commentator crowned it all by telling Hon. Asenso Boakye to respectfully shut up with his dirty politics.
