A story shared by @Kenkenlewu on X reveals how an angry husband locked his wife outside their apartment following a misunderstanding he believed was linked to her dressing and alleged interactions with another man.
The incident, which occurred in an undisclosed Nigerian neighbourhood, drew the attention of neighbours and family members before being resolved.
According to accounts from residents, the husband had previously cautioned his wife about her habit of wearing a wrapper when stepping out of their flat, advising her to dress more appropriately as a married woman.

Tension reportedly escalated when the wife visited a neighbour’s apartment to charge her phone and later encountered her husband returning from night duty.
Upon seeing her, the husband allegedly went inside their flat and locked the door, leaving her outside until evening.
The woman’s parents were later invited to mediate the situation. The husband allegedly accused a man in the compound of making advances towards his wife and claimed her choice of attire reinforced his suspicions.
In response, the woman maintained her innocence, insisting her dressing was simply for convenience while moving within the compound.
The tension heightened when the neighbour innocently approached to return her charger, adding more heat to the flame.
