Ghanaian sports journalist and former sports presenter at Media General’s TV3, Thierry Nyann, has made it emphatically clear that he resigned from the media house, dismissing claims that his departure was due to privileges being taken away.

In a fiery Facebook post sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media, the journalist wrote:

“Ask your bosses!!! I resigned not because privileges were taken away from me BUT because we all move on in life. They stopped me twice from resigning! I resigned TWICE!!! People should learn to accept facts and stop being stupid. GROW UP NKWASIAFUO.”

Thierry’s statement directly challenges rumours circulating within TV3 suggesting that his exit was linked to personal benefits or special privileges. He went further to criticize those spreading false narratives, calling them “stupid” and accusing them of wasting time with office gossip.

“I have been told there are gossips within TV3 that privileges were taken away from me and that is why I left the company. It’s so sad that there are still stupid people who have nothing better to do with their lives than to sit in their offices and gossip. Work harder and stop the hateful attitude. Aren’t you tired???” Nyann added in the post.

He also questioned the logic behind the claims about privileges, pointing out the absurdity of the rumours:

“Always spreading lies and stupidity!!! What privilege? Did I have access to TV3 bank account??? You talk anyhow. This nonsense will stop!!!!!!!”

Nyann’s post has since attracted attention on social media, with many praising him for setting the record straight. His statement confirms that his resignation was a personal decision to move forward in life and not related to any alleged benefits or incentives.

By highlighting that he resigned twice, Nyann reinforces that his departure was deliberate, leaving no room for speculation or gossip about the circumstances of his exit.
