Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has opened up about her early days in the Big Brother house — admitting that she felt completely intimidated and never imagined she could win.

In an exclusive post-show interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Monday, October 7, Imisi revealed that the arrival of other housemates, especially on the second day, made her doubt herself.

When Ebuka asked if she felt intimidated at any point, Imisi responded honestly, saying:

“Yes. During my diary session, there was a time I was just on my bed like, ‘How can I do this?’ Because I felt like there were a lot of people who came from very good backgrounds — their fashion sense, the way they speak, the way they talk. The first week was too much. I was intimidated.”

The 23-year-old fashion designer added that she has always been honest with herself and didn’t shy away from acknowledging how overwhelmed she felt.

“I’m somebody that’s very honest with myself. When I feel a certain way, I agree. I was intimidated,” she said.

Imisi’s candor about her insecurities has struck a chord with fans online, many of whom praised her for her vulnerability and authenticity.

Despite her initial self-doubt, Imisi went on to capture the hearts of viewers across Africa, eventually emerging as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10 — a victory she herself didn’t see coming.

Her story serves as an inspiring reminder that even the most uncertain beginnings can lead to extraordinary endings.
