A suspected car thief was subjected to mob justice after he was caught attempting to steal a vehicle in broad daylight at Ashaiman.
The incident occurred around the Zenu Container Junction, where a video circulating on social media shows the car owner angrily confronting the suspect.
In the footage, the visibly upset owner is heard questioning the man over why he attempted to drive away with his car
Amid the confrontation, the thief denied any criminal intent, insisting that he was “only testing the car” and had no plans to steal it.

His explanation, however, failed to convince the car owner and bystanders who had gathered at the scene.
The situation quickly escalated as community members took matters into their own hands.
Armed with sticks and belts, they descended on the suspect and subjected him to severe beatings.
The video shows the man with a swollen face and visible injuries, including bleeding from his mouth and other parts of his body.
