The former vice president of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia has asked Ghanaians to vote for him because he has the power and would make Ghana look like abroad.
Speaking before some supporters in Ketu South, Dr. Bawumia asked them not to lose confidence in him, stating that he wouldn’t be a square around a hole.
According to the former vice president, Ghanaians should “Have confidence in me. You have seen what I can do as Vice President. If you make me president with the full mandate, I will bring ‘Abrokyire’ [foreign investment] to Ghana”.
Dr. Bawumia believes that “It is not the money in your pocket that will transform Ghana. It is the ideas in your head”, adding that if you had MTN, you couldn’t move money to someone with Vodafone or Airtel. You couldn’t move money from your bank account to your MoMo account. But I said we could do it in Ghana, and we have done it.”
He buttressed his claims with the statement that when we came, the MoMo agents were 107,000. Today, there are 900,000. We have created 800,000 jobs”.
