President-elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has refuted claims of terminating the Free SHS policy.
Speaking in an interview on VOA sighted by Gh Page after the election, the president-elect disclosed that he has no plans of terminating the popular FREE SHS policy.
He claims the NPP, before the general election only wanted to use that to gain the acceptance of the people, however, it failed.
Instead, President John Dramani Mahama has vowed to make the FREE SHS a better one, unlike that of the NPP administration.
He noted, also, that much attention would be given to basic education, as he stated that many have focused so much on secondary education that they do not care about what happens at the basic level.
He mentioned lack of furniture among others as a few challenges faced by the basic education, as he promised that he would ensure things are okay there too.
