I’m not surprised – Ghana U-15 coach hails Doris Boaduwaa for winning Player of the Year award

Ghana’s U-15 coach, Joyce Boaitey-Agyei, isn’t surprised that Doris Boaduwaa won the Female Footballer of the Year Award at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards.Boaitey-Agyei, who has worked with Boaduwaa in the past, praised her talent and hard work.”I am not surprised Doris has won the Player of the Year [Award] this season because I saw her when she completed Junior High School,” Boaitey-Agyei said. “I took her to my school, Kumasi Girls Senior High School, and I realized she is a great talent.”Boaitey-Agyei attributed Boaduwaa’s success to her hard work. “She is very hardworking, so I’m not surprised she has won,” she added. Boaduwaa’s win is a testament to her dedication and talent.Boaduwaa is set to represent Ghana in this year’s Women’s AFCON in Morocco, which commences on July 5. Her recent award win is a boost to the Black Queens’ campaign.
