Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Arnyas Tanko says his men are ready for a tough test against Bechem United in their Ghana Premier League match-week 28 clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Medeama head into the fixture on the back of a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders, with Kelvin Obeng and Salim Adams getting the goals to end a six-game winless run.
That result has seen the Mauve and Yellows climb back to the top of the league table with 49 points, boosting confidence within the camp ahead of the trip to Bechem.
Speaking ahead of the game, Tanko stressed the importance of discipline, especially without the ball, as his side looks to secure all three points away from home.
“We are going there to really fight for the points. I think, and we have to defend as a unit. And I don’t have a problem when we have the ball, but without the ball, I think we have to, I mean, really, defend as a unit, and then try to close the gaps.”
“We have to be able to stop them… I think we are ready for that. And looking at the training we did this weekend, I mean, we have prepared for every situation,” Tanko told Medi TV.
The game is slated for Saturday, April 4, at 15:00GMT (3:00pm).
