Ibrahim TankoMedeama coach Ibrahim Tanko has appealed to the clubs supporters to continue backing the team following their recent struggles in the Ghana Premier League. The Tarkwa-based side suffered a blow to their title push after a 21 defeat to relegation-threatened Hohoe United at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium. The loss marked Medeamas first home defeat of the season and left many supporters unhappy with the teams sudden drop in form.Speaking ahead of Sundays MTN FA Cup clash against Attram de Visser at the Cape Coast Stadium, Tanko called for patience and unity as the team looks to recover.”No, I think if a supporter come to stadium, he’s looking at that his team will win and so that he will go home very happy. But I think and we the technical team and the players are the same. We want to win the game,” he told Medi TV.”But like I said, we had a very bad day looking at how the game went. So definitely I mean like this team give them also a lot of happiness. I don’t think this is the time that they have to abandon the team. We still have nine games to play and the next is MTN FA Cup. So we are preparing for that and hope that we’ll go to the next one,”Sundays game will be officiated by Selorm Yao Bless.
