Ghanaian marketing and media relations professional, Adiza Ibrahim, is celebrating a decade of marriage with her beloved husband, Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu.
Marking the milestone on March 26, 2026, Adiza, otherwise known as Kuburah Diamonds, took to social media to share a heartfelt message reflecting on their journey, revealing that their bond spans seventeen years of knowing each other and ten years in marriage.
Expressing gratitude, she wrote, “It’s been ten (10) of Allah did in marriage and seventeen (17) years of knowing each other. Insha Allah forever to go in this Duniya (earth) and Akhira (hereafter). Ameen.”
She also prayed for continued love, patience, and happiness in their union, while asking for blessings upon their children to grow into individuals of value to both family and society.
In a subsequent post, Adiza recalled vivid memories from their wedding day, describing it as a historic and unforgettable moment. According to her, the ceremony drew massive attention, particularly as it brought the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Nuhu Sharubutu, to Ashaiman-Lebanon for the first time to officiate a marriage.
She further recounted how the event attracted a large crowd, including youth from Fadama and other parts of Accra, many of whom boarded Ayalolo buses just to witness the occasion. The presence of friends from different religious backgrounds also stood out, as many Christians attended out of curiosity and support, despite it being their first experience witnessing a Muslim marriage ceremony.

Kuburah shared how her father reacted to the overwhelming turnout, saying, “Alhamdullilah. My daughter, you have honoured me and the family very well. May Allah bless you.”
Reflecting on marriage, she described it as a beautiful yet imperfect institution, noting that it carries a unique grace. She added that even back then, seeing the excitement and support surrounding their union gave her a strong sense that their journey together would endure.
“If I have to do it again, I will surely do it a thousand times with you,” she wrote, reaffirming her commitment and love for her husband.
The couple’s anniversary post was accompanied by a series of heartwarming photos, capturing a moment of their journey together over the years.
Kuburah Diamonds concluded her message with a prayer for all marriages and those aspiring to marry, asking for divine guidance and blessings in their relationships.
