Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has publicly declared that forward Albert Amoah deserves a place in Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars. This statement came shortly after Kotoko secured a convincing 2-0 victory over defending Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Albert Amoah scored the second goal with an impressive strike from the edge of the box, marking his second goal in just three games this season. His performance was instrumental in maintaining Kotoko’s unbeaten run so far in the 2025-2026 league campaign.
Speaking at the post-game press conference, Karim Zito praised his team’s collective effort and highlighted Amoah’s exceptional form. “You saw what he did and you are called into the Black Stars based on performance, and if it is performance, I think Albert Amoah is on top; he deserves at least to be called,” he said.
This endorsement from a respected coach adds fuel to the growing call among fans and analysts for Amoah’s inclusion in the national squad. His work rate, skill, and recent goal-scoring exploits have made him one of the standout players in the league this season.
As Kotoko continues its strong campaign, all eyes will be on Amoah to see if he can maintain this high standard and earn the national team call-up that Coach Zito believes he rightly deserves.
